dA Not So Much for Writers

Sat Nov 18, 2006, 8:09 AM
WELL. I did start to post up the novel-length story I'm working on at the moment, but it wouldn't let me just post all chapters at once (too big). Sooo then I saw the "add file" option and tried to post them all as a word doc. instead of using the text option. 'Course, unlike other websites, dA apparently doesn't let you do that with literature - just art. And there's no way I'm going through and posting up each individual chapter. Would...take...forevvvver. I've already wasted a whole freakin' hour as it is...

SO I have come to a decision lol. I knew from the start that dA was an art lover's paradise that simply allowed writers to roam about if they wished, but I didn't realize just how difficult (not to mention time-consuming) posting the kind of stuff I write would be. In other words, I'm probably not going to be posting any other novel-length stuff.

This doesn't include future fanfiction one-shots, or any original essays/short stories/ramblings I may write. Those are all easy to post. It's just the novels that cause problems - they take forever, dA doesn't have a good way of organizing the chapters once they ARE up, so it's a mess...just not a good deal lol.

HOWEVER, if you're intrested in reading that novel I mentioned (that I was intending to post here) please feel free to read it here: [link]

That's my profile page on an actual fanfiction site. It has all my D/G fanfiction, including the novel, which is called Not Quite Fate.

Ah well, not everything can work out like you hope...

Your novel has posessed me.

I've read Misconceptions the other day, and it's in my bloody head all the time. Congratulations. You've made a d/G fanfic without cliches, and other junk like that. I was completely and absolutely astonished.

HI welcome.. your creative comes from your dad and mom for sure. I am so glad to see your doing something wonderful with your talent. As a teacher in years past, I used to teach my young ones, that reading will take them places they could never travel. Looks like you have the gift of taking readers to all sorts of places.. keep writting, you are very talented.. Hugs, Lady M
Thank you so much for your encouragement! I love to write, but it can prove awful discouraging at times, so I always appreciate little boosts like that.
